One of my little guys definitely has a sweet tooth.  He loves pretty much anything with chocolate in it.  When he was very little we found out that he had a severe intolerance to eggs.  A lot of my baking recipes typically contained eggs, so I was determined to find recipes that he could enjoy too.

I stumbled upon this recipe and gave it a go. They were simple to make and most importantly, he loved them, and so did everyone else.

Why we love these cookies so much.

  • they are egg-free
  • they are made with simple ingredients
  • they are quick and easy to make. So easy, your kids can help make them too

What you will need to make these delicious cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 cup softened butter

  • 1/4 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 tsp of vanilla

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips

My son loves helping out when I’m baking, especially when it comes to making one of his favorite cookies so you may see some little helping hands in the pictures below.

Put on your aprons, and let’s start mixing!

Start off with a medium-size bowl. Mix together the flour and baking soda, and set aside.

Using an electric mixer, beat together the butter, the white sugar, and brown sugar until they are fully incorporated.

Add in the oil, vanilla, and water and continue whipping until it is fully combined and lighter in colour

Add in the flour mixture. At low-speed, mix until just combined. I even mix by hand with a spatula, so I don’t over mix the dough.

Fold in the chocolate chip. I like to use Hershey’s CHIPITS Milk Chocolate Chips, but you can use any chocolate chips you like.

Drop 1 tablespoon portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes. Cool for 1 minute then transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
