Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups Melted Butter

  • 2 2/3 cups All-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp Baking soda

  • 1 tsp Baking Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 2 cups Lightly packed brown Sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 2 tbsp Hot water

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 375º and line baking sheets with parchement paper.
  • Melt butter in a small pot on the stove and allow a few minutes to cool.
  • Stir all-purpose flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • Beat lightly packed brown sugar with melted butter until creamy. Beat in 2 eggs and 2 tbsp of hot water until smooth
  • Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture. Add 1 package of CHIPITS Milk Choclate Chips. Drop 1 tbsp portions of dough onto a lined baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 mintures. Cool for 1 minute then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Melt your butter first. That way it has some time to cool before adding it to your sugar.
  • If you have time, let the batter sit for a couple of minutes before spooning it onto the baking sheet. This gives the batter a chance to settle a bit. Give it another quick stir, and then start to spoon out your cookies onto your baking sheet. This will help your cookies look more consistent. If you don’t have the time, that’s fine. You’ll notice that the cookies might appear a bit different, but in the end, they all taste the same.
  • This recipe makes a large batch of cookies. Sometimes, if I don’t have a lot of people I am baking for, I only bake half the batch. Then, with the remaining dough, I freeze spoonful portions on a lined baking tray for about an hour. Once they are hard, I transfer them into a freezer bag or freezer-safe container to bake another time. You can bake them from frozen, just be sure to add some extra time to your baking, or what I prefer to do is let them thaw out in the fridge for a couple for hours or overnight, and then bake them as directed.
