Nothing beats waking up in the morning and enjoying a warm slice of banana bread. This one is made with whole wheat flour, almond flour, eggs, apple sauce, and honey. Great for breakfast, or perfect for a morning snack.

Benefits of whole grains

A diet rich in whole grains has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. It is packed with nutrients such as fiber, protein, Vitamin B, antioxidants along with some minerals. Eating more whole grains in your diet has been shown to improve overall health and happiness.

Difference between Almond Flour and Almond Meal

There are not many differences between Almond Flour and Almond Meal. They are both made from ground almonds but, a couple of little things separate the two. Almond Flour is typically made from blanched almonds, which have had their skins removed, and is ground quite fine. Almond Meal typically still has its skins left on is more coarsely ground. When comparing the two, you can easily see their differences.

In search of a healthier banana bread, I stumbled upon this recipe, and just like the writer, we don’t put nuts in our banana bread either. The loaf came out great! So delicious. The kids liked it, so did my husband, and I just loved it! It definitely hits the top of my healthy food list.
